Yuanduan, or “at the edge of the clouds” is the world’s new longest glass skywalk shaped like a horseshoe at 26.68metres long off the edge of a cliff. The cantilever bridge which just opened at Longgang National Geological Park is located in the southwest Chinese city of Chongqing.
This city is also a popular tourist destination and starting point of the famous Yangtse river cruise to the world's largest ship locks and engineering feat - the 3 Gorges Dam. Just as notable of its lenght is the height - just look down at the valley floor at 1010 metres below. It is built to withstand an earthquake of 8.0 magnitude and level-14 typhoon.
The world’s 2nd longest skywalk 5 metres shorter is located in the Grand Canyon Arizona, USA another spectacular viewing spot.
