Nepal US visitors to get 5 years visa

In a reciprocal welcome move, Nepal from 01st January 2019 has started to grant US citizens who apply for a tourist visa a five-year multiple entries to the country. Americans with tourist visas can now spend a maximum of 180 days per year in the country under this new policy.


American citizens now currently pay $25 for 15-day visa, $40 for 30 days and $100 for 90 days of stay in Nepal as tourists. For those who stay more than 90 days in Nepal as tourists pay $2 for each extra day.

 

Now both Nepali and US citizens will have to pay $160 for five-year tourist visa when visiting either country.

 

The travel industry is hopefull this positive development will increase the flow of tourists from the US.
