Adventure holidays in Bhutan include active options you can choose from: day hikes using hotel accommodation as base camps, river rafting, some very challenging biking terrain--not for the faint hearted and pristine wildlife safari opportunities.

Day hikes take you off the beaten tour itinerary to visit monasteries perched in high mountain crags or scenic valleys not approachable by automobiles.  River rafting in the clear waters of the country take you through countryside little seen by tourists.  Or bike the mountain "highways" traversing high passes or steep inclines to test the limit of biking endurance.
