The overland road journey from Lhasa to Nepal is a classical road journey through the finest landscapes and culture. It is also possible to visit the north Base Camp of Mount Everest or "Chomolongma" as the mountain is known in Tibet. Views of the Himalayan snow peaks along the way are stunning.
The Eastern Kham area offers yet another view of Tibet, more forested and equally interesting. The adventure seekers can take the ultimate journey to the far frontiers of the west with the journey to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. The journey west can lead up to the legendary ancient cities of Kashgar or Kashi among the gems of the Silk route.
