Trip Grade: one star

This tour combines the Chittagong Hill District with Kaptai Lake at Rangamati & Chimbuk peak at Bandarbans, visit to Cox’s Bazar reputedly the World's Longest Beach and the undiscovered Tribal Culture of Hill Districts.  A surprisingly good trip that include the ethnic tribes of Bangladesh.

 

Day 01: Arrive Dhaka

Airport transfer to hotel for overnight at Dhaka.  If time permit you can enjoy Dhaka city tour.

 

Day 02: Dhaka–Chittagong-Excursion to Rangamati
Take morning flight to Chittagong & drive 3 hrs to Rangamati hills situated in the far southeastern corner of Bangladesh, bordering Mizoram India.  The Rangamati hill district is 77 km from Chittagong. Visit the Buddhist Temple, the Chakma Kings palace and handicrafts outlets. Afternoon take the boat cruise in Kaptai Lake with its splendid setting. Journey through the Suvolong point into the widest part is an experience similar to the Dal Lake in Kashmir. Journey through the vast expanse of crystal dear water of Kaptai lake, visit tribal market, temples and enjoy natural scenery of setting sun in the blue water. On the return visit mausoleum of Sultan Bayazzid Bostami.
Overnight stay at hotel in Chittagong.

 

Day 03: Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar via Bandarban
After breakfast start for Cox’s Bazar. Enroute drive through hill district of Bandarban forested hills and tribal villages. The road journey 3 hrs through jungles and way side tribal markets. Reach Bandarban & drive to Chimbook hill peak 3200 ft and interact with different tribal communities with their distinct cultural entity. More than 12 indigenous tribal groups of SinoTibetan origin from Arakan have settled here since 300 years. On the trip back visit Murong tribal village and waterfalls at Shail Propat.


Transfer to Cox’s Bazar, enroute stop at Zadi hill to visit Buddhist Golden Temple, the most ornamental temple in Bangladesh. Arrive Cox’s Bazar in the evening.
Overnight at designated hotel in Cox’s Bazar.


Day 04: Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka
Enjoy early morning walk on the World's Longest beach. In the afternoon transfer to airport & fly back to Dhaka to catch flight for onward destination.
