Hollywood Superstar Jet Li visits Nepal!

World famous Hollywood and Chinese actor Jet Li arrived in Kathmandu along with his wife during the Christmas holiday. He described his stay in Nepal as "One of the most special Christmas weeks of my life." During that time he studied Buddhist philosophy under Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche together with his family for six days and thanked his Teacher in giving them a wonderful education. He added "We felt fortunate to see many of our great Gurus and visit holy places.”

The noted Kung Fu star posted pictures with his family in backdrop of the famous Boudhanath stupa. He and his wife wore over-sized shades to be as inconspicuous as possible!  This is his 2nd visit to Nepal, the first being in March 2017.

Nepal is renowned for its meditation and wellness centres that are balm for visitors who seek to de-stress and enjoy serenity through learning life skills from Teachers. Nepal's tranquility and the attraction of its beautifull natural heritage, cultural richness and hospitable people provide an excellent setting to enjoy this experience.

Other Hollywood celebrities who have visited Nepal are Michelle Yeoh famed actress for her role in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" as UNDP Goodwill Ambassador and the incomparable Benedict Cumberbatch whose filming in Patan and Ason Bazar in the Marvel blockbuster Dr Who awed audiences.
