Nepal as of 11 March 2022 is open to fully vaccinated and non vaccinated tourists. India tourism re-opened 27 March 2022 with international scheduled flights resuming with protocols laid out for vaccinated and un-vaccinated travellers.  

 

Bhutan reopen its borders to tourists September 23, 2022.  The Tourism Council of Bhutan announced it will also coincide with increase in Sustainable Development Fund tariff to US$200 per tourist per night. This will raise the holiday package rate for visitors to the destination. The TCB envisages Bhutan return to its tourism roots of "High Value, Low Volume".

Land border crossing to India is fully open to both passenger and cargo.  Land entry to Tibet China is open only for cargo trucks carrying essential goods to Nepal.  This information will be updated as and when new policies are announced.

 

With all countries actively vaccinating their populace; it is only a matter of time before all destinations will re-open for tourists who are fully vaccinated.  We recommend all our guests who plan to travel soon to be fully vaccinated so they can visit their holiday destinations when they re-open!
