Rongbuk North Face of Everest

This tour consists of two parts; in the first six days tours will be in the Tsedang and Yarlung Tsangpo valley, then on to Lhasa, continue to Gyantse and Xigatse via the Shalu Monastery. And the Rongbuk trek to the highest monastery situated in the world together with the Everest Base Camp.
The tour stops at Tingri where trek personnels will make arrangements for yaks before the trek over Pangla pass 5150 metre to the Everest Base Camp. Explore this area and enjoy the views from Rongbuk monastery in an area of surreal beauty and calmness.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Lhasa airport, transfer to Tsedang, hotel.
Day 2 Visit the Yambulagang castle, cross the Yarlung Tsangpo to visit Samye monastery, drive to Lhasa, hotel.
Day 3 / 4 Tour to Potala Palace, Barkhor Bazaar, Jokhang temple, Drepung and Sera monastery.
Day 5 Drive to Gyantse via south route along Lake Yamdrok, hotel.
Day 6 Tour Kumbum and Pelkor Chode monastery, drive via Shalu monastery to Xigatse, tour the sprawling complex of monasteries in the Tashilunpo, hotel.
Day 7 Drive to old Tingri, hotel.
Day 8 / 12 Trek to the Everest Base Camp and Rongbuk monastery.
Day 13 Exploration day.
Day 14 Drive to Nyelamu, hotel.
Day 15 Transfer to Friendship Bridge on the border of Nepal - Tibet TAR, exit to Nepal, continue to Kathmandu.
