"Kopra ridge trek this October was our return to Himalayas and Nepal after 14 years. Many things have changed since our last visit, also in the mountains. Some for good, some not so. Our trek to the Annapurna Dhaulagiri avoided the heavily trekked popular route. In the intervening years, thanks to local initiatives the new and more remote trails has been developed allowing to enjoy the authenticity and beauty of Himalayas at its best. Kopra ridge trek is one of them and we would like to thank William Ma and Asian Bhrikuti Holidays & Bhrikuti Himalayan Treks for suggesting it to our family. The trek is relatively short 11 days, but very diverse - you can experience the dreamlike forests, small and still authentic villages, steep cliffs and snow peaks of Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri and Fish Tail seemingly just a stone’s throw away. It has also it’s own viewpoint - Mulde at 3630m, which is still undiscovered compared to Poon Hill and you can admire the rising sun almost alone or just with a few other trekkers. It was a wonderful experience for all our family from the ages of 14 till 71 and we were so happy to discover that there are some things which doesn’t change also in our turbulent world - it is a hospitality and service of Bhrikuti Himalayan Treks we did with them also on our previous treks. And our guide Tika which we unexpectedly met again on trail with us after 14 years and the great adventure together in Mustang before.” on the Annapurna Dhaulagiri trek - Una, Ainars, Katrina, Gustavs and Ruta, Latvia.

I first met William and Reenchen owners of the company in 1993 on a trip to Nepal with a travel agent. Subsequently I have done six more treks with them. Some alone, one with a friend and one with my three daughters. They have always done a superb job of organizing my treks and their staffs have been just great. Over the course of almost 20 years I have become friends with them and a member of their extended family! I have no hesitation in recommending them to arrange for hotels, treks and any other tours. Besides Nepal, they have organised trips for me to northern India.
My treks through their agency to Annapurna Circuit, Everest, Langtang, Mustang, Phaplu, Jiri to Lukla, Darjeeling, Sikkim, Kalimpong - all bring back fond memories for me. Besides being such good friends, they continue to be very professional in their services.

I too would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Joy and William Ma and their staff for arranging and re-arranging the trip. The experience was completely stunning! And I also want to give a big thanks to Jangbu Lama as well as Nima and Jigmy (sp?) for their good will, hard work and great sense of humor and patience throughout our trip. I just downloaded the last of the photographs last night and some of them, even many are incredibly stunning! I stayed up until quite late reviewing many of them more than once. I've never seen anything to compare to the valleys and mountains that we walked through!
I also want to express thanks and gratitude to everyone on the trip for their patience and graciousness during an expedition that seemed to change just about every day if not more often than that. It's not often in my experience that a group of people who don't really know one another is able to stay positive and in good humor when faced with so much uncertainty. I must say that given the possibilities for rain, getting stuck in Lukla, getting stuck out of Lukla, getting stuck in some camp or a doctor's office, not to mention the discomfort of being there- there were a lot of things that could have gone wrong. But in the big picture, just about everything was incredibly beautiful. From the photographs, it looks like every mountain was the star of the trip! I would be happy to share photos with any of the group. Bruce on Joy & Friends Everest Base Camp trek May 2014
