Nepali citizens will enjoy China visa fee waiver starting from May 1, 2024. This facility was announced by the Embassy of China in Kathmandu to waive visa fees for regular applications for Nepali citizens seeking to travel to China.
Ambassador of China to Nepal H.E. Chen Song said that this decision was taken to promote the relationship between the two countries and enhance service convenience.
While the regular visa fee itself is free of charge; there will be an express fee and service fee applicable. According to the Embassy, the express visa service fee ranges from Rs 2,700 (approximately US$20) to Rs 4,000 (approximately US$30) as of date.
