A Join-in Departure for Paro Tsechu festival 2024 gives individual visitors opportunity to see a unique celebration. It takes place in the imposing Rimpung Dzong the Administrative and Religious Center of Paro. On the last day of the Festival a giant "Thongdral" mural of the Buddha is unfolded to bless the pilgrims assembled.
Paro Tsechu is the most important and popular Festival of Bhutan; days of ceremonial dances, rituals of blessings, religious rites and the general festive air of Spring adds to an atmospheric occasion with people of all walks of life thronging the courtyard.

17 Mar Day 1 Arrive Paro, tour Kyichu Lhagang and a walk through the town center, hotel.
18 Mar Day 2 Drive to Thimphu; visit Phajoding monastery, Ani Gompa, Takin enclosure, Folk Art Heritage Museum and Jigme Dorji Memorial Chorten, enjoy a walk in the main street, hotel.
19 Mar Day 3 Tours include Dordema Buddha statue, School of Painting, Goldsmith’s workshop and Tashichodzong, hotel.
20 Mar Day 4 Drive via Wangdi to Phobjika valley, en route tour this mid-way town, visit Gangtey monastery, manor farm guest house or home stays.
21 Mar Day 5 Walk in this beautiful village, travel to Punakha, ancient capital of the country, tour Punakha Dzong, hotel.
22 Mar Day 6 Drive to Paro, visit the Tsechu Festivities and enjoy the dances and other religious rituals, hotel.
23 Mar Day 7 Visit the Tsechu Festivities and enjoying the ceremonies and celebrations, hotel.
24 Mar Day 8 View unfolding of the gigantic sacred "Thongdral" Thangka painting and watch as people from all over the country come to seek its divine blessing. The ceremony begins at an auspicious time before dawn and it is folded before sunrise.

25 Mar Day 9 Transfer to airport for onward departure.
Bhutan's Paro International Airport is connected by Druk Air and Bhutan Air flights from Bagdogra, Bangkok, Delhi, Dhaka, Guwahati, Kathmandu, Kolkata and Singapore.
